The theatrical release of OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Pankaj Tripathi on August 11 has garnered immense love and acclaim from audiences. Despite earlier controversies, the Amit Rai-directed film has captivated viewers and critics alike with its unique storytelling and impactful social message. In a recent interview, Paresh Rawal, a part of the first film, expressed that he believes God's presence wasn't necessary in OMG 2. ALSO READ: WHAT! Regarding his absence from the sequel, he remarked, "I don't speculate whether the film would have fared better with my inclusion." Rawal explained that the initial idea for the story was a collaboration between him and the director. He mentioned that while the first part dealt with a case against God, God's role might not have been crucial in the sequel. Nonetheless, Rawal expressed joy over the film's success. OMG 2 serves as a follow-up to the successful movie featuring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, with the first installment also starring Mithun Chakraborty, Om Puri, Govind Namdev, among others, and directed by Umesh Shukla. The film did an exceptional box office business of Rs 178 crore gross despite having a clash with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.
